Protected by several patents since 2019, the polymorphic wheel concept developed by BOROBO allows rolling on any type of terrain and facilitates the passage of obstacles such as stairs.
This wheel comprises a first part rotated around a central axis, and a second part, movable relative to the first, characterized by two position modes:
▪ closed position, in which the wheel has a continuous circular tread;
▪ open position, in which the wheel forms a discontinuous circular tread.
